Bits & Pieces:
Audacy KILT/Houston The Morning Bullpen team – George Lindsay, Monica “Mo” Lunsford and Erik Scott Smith – recently fielded a call from a plumber who discovered something fairly remarkable while doing work at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church on Nov. 10. After opening up a wall to remove some insulation, the caller says he found “about 500 envelopes” that contained cash and checks. “He relayed to us that in 2014, there was a big story about money being stolen from Lakewood Church that they never recovered,” Lindsay tells NBC affiliate KPRC-TV/Houston here. The money could be linked to the disappearance of $600,000 seven years ago, though it is unclear how much money the plumber discovered. Watch the full news story here.
