Benefit News:
Curtis WQDR/Raleigh PD Mike Biddle tells Country Aircheck the station “had a big weekend with our ‘QDR listening family showing a lot of love for the kids.” Dec. 4, the staff hosted their first-ever Hope For The Holidays Toy Drive Benefiting Children’s Home Society Of NC and were able to fill three Ford F-150s with donations. Children's Home Society is a foster and adoption organization in the greater listening area. See photos here. The following day, the annual WQDR Acoustic Christmas For Kids benefited UNC Children’s Hospital. The show featured Kane Brown, Restless Road, Taylor Phillips and Paige King Johnson. “We are still counting some donations, but with ticket sales alone, we raised more than $20,000,” says Biddle.
