Bits & Pieces: Radio One KKBQ/Houston is expanding its 93Q Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon from two days to three this year – Dec. 10-12. Dir./Operations Travis Moon says, “Our move to a three-day radiothon is simple. If expanding our effort helps St. Jude save even more lives, then we’re going to do it.”
Beasley Media Group Chief Communications Officer Heidi Raphael and attorney Kathleen Kirby of Wiley Rein LLP in Washington, DC have been elected to the Board of Trustees of The Media Institute, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization specializing in communications policy and the First Amendment.
Audacy KWJJ/Portland, OR morning hosts Nick Steele and Kristen Flowers raised enough money to pay off $2.17m in local medical debt during their sixth annual Nick & Kristen’s Medical Debt Payoff Nov. 17-21, in partnership with national nonprofit Undue Medical Debt. The campaign has raised more than $18m in its six-year history, fully paying off medical debt for more than 10,000 people in the Pacific Northwest.
