CMA Honors Tony Conway, Jim Owens And More
Honor System: The CMA presented its J. William Denny Award to Conway Entertainment Pres. Tony Conway Dec. 4 in Nashville. The award recognizes "a lifetime of dedication, distinguished service and meritorious contributions to the CMA Board of Directors." Amber Health co-founder Dr. Chayim Newman was presented with the CMA Chairman’s Award, given to individuals whose exceptional service to CMA merits recognition. On Dec. 5 at the Grand Ole Opry, TV and radio producer Jim Owens was honored posthumously with the CMA's Joe Talbot Award, given to his widow, Lorianne Crook. This award recognizes "outstanding leadership and contributions to the preservation and advancement of country music’s values and tradition."
