Jonathan Wilde has been named PD/morning host
Wilks' Classic Hits KXKL/Denver night personality Jonathan Wilde has been named PD/morning host at sister Country KWOF, replacing departed PD/morning co-host Randy "Shotgun" Shannon and morning co-host Jesse James (CAT 12/8). Additionally, Wilks/Denver Market Manager Barry Remington has resigned a year after joining the group during the CBS Radio-to-Wilks conversion last December. Wilde joined the cluster in November 2006 from crosstown KYGO where he was part of the then-morning team with Kelly Ford and Steve "Mudflap" McGrew. He moved from afternoons on the Wolf to mornings at KOOL in early 2008, and now returns to the Country station. "[Wilde is] a great Country talent in this market, with great name recognition from back when he was on KYGO," Wilks CEO Jeff Wilks told the local Westword. "His contract was about up, and we didn't want his talent to move outside the building. So Jesse & Shotgun became collateral damage."
