ZBB To Dot, Southern Ground To Drop Promo:
Radio promotion for the Zac Brown Band will be picked up by BMLG's Dot imprint in February as the Southern Ground promotion team is being disbanded. The five Southern Ground staffers will work current single "Beautiful Drug" through the end of January, at which point, Dot "will immediately join in on all promotional efforts so as to not lose any momentum on the current single," according to a statement from BMLG.
Departing are SG VPs Mara Sidweber (469-231-6302) and Chuck Swaney (248-202-4116), regionals Neda Tobin (214-417-7448) and Paul Williams (615-715-7884) and Dir./Syndication Clay Henderson (615-429-0262).
Southern Ground previously partnered with Bigger Picture Group and then RPME for radio promotion, bringing all promotion in-house in late 2012 (CAT 9/17/12). Last year, restructuring at Southern Ground Artists shifted focus solely to the Zac Brown Band (CAT 5/8/14). Southern Ground partnered with John Varvatos Records and BMLG later that year (CAT 9/22/14).
