Bob's Hope: Weatherford College, near the long-time home of the late Bob Kingsley in Weatherford, TX, formally opened the doors of the Nan and Bob Kingsley Building Monday afternoon (12/13). The building formerly housed Kingley's Bluestem Studios, and most of it was donated to the college following his passing (CAT 6/15/20). The building will now house the offices of the school's president and alumni relations along with facilities for a new Audio Engineering program and a future Mass Communications program. The college and Kingsley's estate have also partnered with the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) and The Bluebird Cafe to digitize that venue's 40 years of audio history. Weatherford College Pres. Tod Allen Farmer says, “Nan's gift will not only continue to honor Bob Kingsley through the decades, it will also have a profoundly positive impact on Weatherford College."
