Nouveau Rich: Nashville Music Guide magazine's Randy Rich has launched music publishing company Get Rich Trying and signed John Major as its first songwriter. Industry veteran Preshias Harris is consulting and will assist in operations while overseeing copyright registrations. Rich plans to sign four more writers in the company's initial phase. Preshias Night: Elvie Shane, Brady Seals, Bridgette Tatum, Marla Cannon-Goodman and others will perform at a benefit concert for music industry veteran Preshias Harris June 25 at 6pm at Nashville's 3rd & Lindsley (CAT 5/23). The show will raise money for her medical and living expenses after she endured four hospitalizations in six months, two heart attacks, bypass surgery and a serious fall. Harris plans to attend the show.
