Morning Yo: Lincoln Financial's KYGO/Denver VP/GM Bob Call has tapped radio vets Ryno and Jackson for mornings, a daypart that has been handled by part timers since 20-year station vet Kelly Ford's August departure (CAT 8/31). Ryno spent 10 years at CC's WSIX/Nashville, where he handled evenings in addition to afternoons at Top 40 clustermate WRVW. Jackson joins KYGO from Nineball Radio Networks; his on-air career includes Top 40 KDWB/Minneapolis and WNCI/Columbus, OH. The pair has previously teamed for mornings. "I am truly excited Ryno & Jackson will be reunited in mornings on KYGO," says Call. "They follow a legacy of great morning talent on our station. Ryno & Jackson will bring a fresh, new approach to morning radio in Denver." The pair are set to begin in the next few weeks; KYGO's PD chair remains open but Call says an announcement on that position will follow soon.
