Dunaway With Birmingham:
Longtime Guaranty WTGE/Baton Rouge OM/PD/afternoon personality Dave Dunaway has been named PD for SummitMedia's WZZK/Birmingham. He succeeds Paul Orr, who recently stepped down (CAT 10/15). "Yes it's true I'm trading my crawfish etouffee in for Dreamland Bar-B-Cue pulled pork," says Dunaway. "WZZK is one of the great Country stations in America, and I'd like to thank [Summit EVP/COO] David Dubose, [SVP/Programming] Bill Tanner and [National PD] John Olson for this fantastic opportunity. Plus, [Guaranty CEO] Flynn Foster and [Market Mgr.] Gordy Rush for all the support and guidance here. Over the last nine years, we have created a dynamic cluster of stations in Baton Rouge." Guaranty/Baton Rouge Production Dir. Brian King will take over day to day programming of WTGE. There are no plans to hire an OM at this time. Reach Dunaway for now here; reach King here.
