Nash Launches Nationally: As tipped earlier via Breaking News, Twitter and Facebook, Cumulus has launched its Nash Icon radio format nationally on WSM-FM/Nashville, 250W FM translator K273BZ/Kansas City, WZRR/Birmingham, KBZU/Albuquerque, KJJY/Des Moines, WJBC/Pontiac-Bloomington, IL and WNUQ/Albany, GA. They join previously reported WWWQ-HD2/Atlanta and its 250W FM translator W255CJ and WZAT/Savannah, GA. Prior to adopting Nash Icon, all but two stations (WSM-FM and KJJY) carried formats other than Country. Kansas City and Birmingham are the only markets in which Cumulus did not previously operate a Country station. More flips are expected throughout the day with additional coverage in Country Aircheck Today (8/15).
