Fine Then: As reported earlier via Breaking News, Twitter and Facebook, the FCC's Enforcement Bureau has fined iHeartMedia $1 million over the misuse of EAS tones on the company's Premiere-syndicated The Bobby Bones Show last October (CAT 10/27). The Nashville-based program set off EAS notifications on multiple radio and television stations in states including Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia and Arkansas. View the FCC statement here. Shortly after the news broke, Bones tweeted, "BREAKING: a monkey just climbed off my back," and later, "I love the support and the company that I work for. Thank you @iheartradio."
