Vice Squad:
As reported earlier via Breaking News, Cumulus/Nashville OM Charlie Cook has been named VP/Country, Corporate PD Greg Frey has been upped to VP/Programming Operations and Corporate PD/Country & Classic Hits Brian Thomas has been named VP/Classic Hits in a reorganization of the company's programming department. Joining Cumulus are VP/Ratings & Research Dr. Ed Cohen, VP/Programming Operations Doug Hamand, VP/CHR & Hot AC Cat Thomas, VP/Analytics Ralph Cipolla and VP/Urban Ken Johnson. Additionally, format VPs have been promoted from within for AC, Rock, News Talk and Classic Rock. John Kilgo continues as VP/Label Relations.
Cook's most recent stint with Cumulus began in 2014 (Breaking News 1/2/14) with career stops at KKGO/Los Angeles and Westwood One. He'll continue overseeing the Nashville cluster and programming WSM-FM and WKDF. Frey and Thomas joined in 2010 and 2014, respectively (CAT 10/11/10, CAT 4/28/14). Cohen joins from Nielsen Audio, where he served as VP/Measurement Innovation; Hamand was most recently an SVP/Programming with iHeartMedia. Cat Thomas joins from CBS Radio, where he served as VP/Programming for Las Vegas; Cipolla most recently led Cipolla Analytics; and Johnson comes from Cumulus Urban Contemporary WUHT/Birmingham, where he served as OM.
