Showtime:
Former Cumulus America's Morning Show host Blair Garner has returned to overnights with The Blair Garner Show. With George Strait as its first guest, the program launched today (10/31) on 150 stations, replacing the Kix Brooks and Suzanne Alexander-hosted Kickin' It With Kix (Breaking News 8/15). Nash Country Daily's Lisa Konicki, CMChat's Jessica Northey and the Morning Hangover's Kurt Bardella have been tapped to report country music news as part of the show's "A-Team." "Fifteen million Americans work the late and overnight shifts," Garner says. "These folks are the backbone of our country – the ones who dig a little deeper to get ahead, and get the job done. We owe them a lot, and this show is our attempt to thank them for all that they do." Overnights are familiar territory for Garner, who created what is now Premiere's After MidNite in 1993. He hosted the program until his 2013 departure to helm America's Morning Show (Breaking News 6/10/13). Ty Bentli succeeded him at AMS in August. Reach Garner here.
