WSOC/Charlotte Staff Promotions: Charlotte radio vet Jack Daniel has been named PD of Beasley's WSOC/Charlotte and WBCN-AM & W234BY "94.7 Smoke," which he joined in March (CAT 3/21) for afternoons. Concurrently, Philip “Big Sexy” Tabakelis has been named APD and Mimi Wheeler has added the title of Music Director and will continue in her roles as Asst. Digital PD/Associate Morning Show Producer. “After an exhaustive nationwide search, we found the most ideal and experienced programming team for WSOC within the walls of the station,” says EVP/Programming Justin Chase. “At Beasley, we always look for ways to promote from within.
