More Alpha Departures: Following yesterday's departure of Alpha Country Format Captain MoJoe Roberts (CAT 4/14), the company has made additional cuts. "Alpha Media continues to work through many difficult decisions to cope with the current challenges we all face brought about by COVID-19," says CEO Bob Proffitt. "We are positioning the company to weather this challenge while trying to keep our valued team members safe and be poised to recover quickly once the crisis has passed." Proffitt's memo states that prior to any staffing cuts or furloughs, Alpha's executive leadership team proactively reduced their own compensation. Among those departing are:

KUPL/Portland morning hosts Jake Byron and Tony Russell, who spent 16 and three years with the station, respectively. Byron joined in April 2004 following time with New Northwest Broadcasters and then-Clear Channel. He shared a departing message via Facebook here and can be reached here. Russell came aboard in 2017 (CAT 3/14/17) following 10 years with KKWF/Seattle as part of Fitz In The Morning. His prior career stops include Wichita Falls, TX and Dallas. Russell also shared a video message here and can now be reached here. Remaining KUPL morning personality Jenn Hays moves to middays as APD/MD/midday personality Danny Dwyer shifts to afternoons; Cassidy Quinn remains in nights. No word on plans for mornings.

KGNC/Amarillo, TX morning personality Nancy Mack has departed after more than four years. She joined in 2016 (CAT 3/16/16) from Canadian Hot AC CKQQ/Kelowna, BC. Her prior career stops include San Angelo, TX and Dallas. Mack is on the hunt for her next opportunity and can be reached here.
