Growing Gaines: Former Cumulus WKHX/Atlanta APD/afternoon Scott Gaines has joined Alpha KGNC/Amarillo, TX as OM/PD/afternoon personality. He succeeds Jason Kidd (a.k.a. Cash Warren) as PD and Patrick Clark in afternoons, both of whom have exited. Compass/Silverfish Media syndicated Big D & Bubba have been added in mornings, succeeding Nancy Mack who recently departed (CAT 4/15). "It is such an honor to be given the reins of such a legenday station," say Big D & Bubba. "We appreciate Alpha and their leadership giving us this opportunity." Kidd made the move to WGH/Norfolk in mornings as Cash Warren last year (CAT 3/20/19). Clark joined in 1994 as MD/afternoons and served as PD from 2011-2015; he was on-air in the Amarillo market for more than three decades with time at both KMML and KPUR. Gaines exited WKHX in December after two years (CAT 11/13/19). His prior career stops include WGKX/Memphis, WSM-FM/Nashville, WDTW/Detroit and KUSJ/Temple, TX. Reach Gaines here.
