The Real Deal: Zimmer KTXR (101.3 The Outlaw)/Springfield, MO has flipped from its previous Country/Red Dirt/Americana/Southern Rock hybrid format to Classic Country as “Real Country 101.3” and has adopted the KWTO call letters. Zimmer recently purchased the station from Meyer Communications, which flipped KTXR to its most recent format in 2015 (CAT 10/23/15). The new KWTO joins the Springfield market that includes three Country outlets: Summit KTTS, iHeartMedia KSWF and Mid-West Family KOMG. See Spring 2020 ratings in the two-book Nielsen market here. Listen to KWTO here. The former “Outlaw” format has moved to an online platform unaffiliated with the new ownership and can be streamed here.
