Houston, You're Cleared For Takeoff:
No official word from the company, but former iHeartMedia WEBG/Chicago PD/night host Lance Houston is joining Country sister WUBL/Atlanta for afternoons and adds iHeartMedia National Programming Team duties. At WUBL, he succeeds Jeremy “Otis” Maher, who departed yesterday (CAT 12/1). It is a return to the cluster for Houston, who previously spent six years as APD/MD/afternoons at WUBL before transitioning to WPOC/Baltimore as PD in 2013 (CAT 2/26/13); he maintained WUBL afternoon duties until Maher’s arrival in 2017 (CAT 2/7/17). Houston helmed WEBG for more than two years prior to its flip to Rock in September (CAT 9/4). His career stops also include WBWL/Boston and WBAM/Montgomery, AL. Reach Houston here.
