Puttin' On The Fitz: As reported Friday (12/4) via Breaking News, Hubbard KNUC/Seattle’s Fitz In The Morning is set to end in coming weeks with host Fitz shifting to focus all efforts on nationally syndicated weekend countdown show Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40 With Fitz. Morning co-hosts Claire Beverly, Bryant “Ryder” Konold and Shade Giles have exited, while Drew Brownfield leaves mornings but will remain with CT40 as a producer and can be reached here. Fitz is currently on vacation, but the show will continue to air through December with a final farewell at the end of the month. “We look forward to writing a new chapter for [KNUC] next year and are working on plans now,” says OM Scott Mahalick. “We are glad to continue being the flagship radio station for CT40 With Fitz and look forward to him playing the hits for years to come.”

Fitz joined last April (CAT 4/15/19) and took the reins of CT40 last December (CAT 12/19/19). Brownfield has been a member of Fitz’ team since 2006, first at crosstown KKWF and then with syndicated The Fitz Show prior to the team’s arrival at KNUC. Beverly was brought aboard the year prior (CAT 2/15/18) as part of the morning trio consisting of Tim Leary and Karen “Red” Daiss. Konold joined last year, and Giles has been with the cluster since 2013. Beverly and Konold both tell Country Aircheck they are seeking new opportunities. Reach Beverly here and Konold here.
