Georgia Bull Log: iHeartMedia WUBL/Atlanta morning host Kristen Gates announced this morning (5/23) she will be moving to afternoons beginning next week. She will introduce the new voices that will be handling the morning shift tomorrow (5/24), and they will be sitting in with her the remainder of this week. Gates joined WUBL for mornings in 2008 after three years at crosstown WKHX (CAT 7/24/08); she's been handling the daypart solo since the departure of co-host Spencer Graves last November (CAT 11/29/21).

Hot Air: No official confirmation, but former Cumulus KPLX/Dallas morning host Brian Moote posted a video to social media Friday afternoon (5/20) in which he announced his May 24 return to morning radio. The video was filmed in Atlanta in what appears to be the iHeartMedia studios and features an appearance by current WUBL MD/afternoon host Jeremy "Otis" Maher, to whom Moote said his new morning listeners would soon be introduced. Moote departed KPLX in March (CAT 3/18) after two years. His prior stops include nationally syndicated The Bert Show, Talk KIRO/Seattle and work as a stand-up comedian. Maher re-joined WUBL last November (CAT 11/29/21) after an initial run with the station from 2017-2020 (CAT 12/1/20). Reach Gates here and Maher here.
