Zimmer Man: Former Midwest WXCL/Peoria, IL Brand Mgr./afternoon host “Dr.” Chris Michaels has joined Zimmer/Springfield, MO as OM for the cluster that includes Classic Country KWTO. The move also comes with a personal rebranding, as he will now be known as Chris Kennedy after 30 years under his prior moniker. The position is newly created; KWTO flipped from its previous Country/Red Dirt/Americana/Southern Rock hybrid format more than two years ago (CAT 9/21/20). Kennedy left WXCL in November (CAT 11/4/22) after more than two years. His prior stops include an earlier stint at WXCL and time with WIBL/Bloomington, IL. Reach Kennedy here.
