Hope You Have The Tim Of Your Life: As reported via Breaking News, veteran programmer Tim Richards has been named Dir./Content for Alpha KUPL/Portland, OR. The station had been without day-to-day programming oversight since the departure of cluster OM Gene Sandbloom a year ago (CAT 1/3/23). Richards launched Smith Richards Collective (SRC) in 2022 with the late Steve Smith (CAT 4/20/22). He was part of a round of post-Covid layoffs at then-Entercom that ended his seven year programming run at KMLE/Phoenix (CAT 9/10/20), and had prior programming stops at Top 40 KZZP/Phoenix and then-Clear Channel/Tucson.
