Ford Focus: Country radio veteran Kelly Ford has been named the new host of Key Networks and Beasley Broadcast Group's syndicated daypart show Backstage Country, succeeding Shawn Parr, who plans to step away Feb. 23 (see next story). Backstage Country launched in 2020 as a daily five-hour show hosted by different country artists each week (CAT 7/23/2020). Last year, it merged with Shawn Parr’s Across The Country (CAT 2/6/23), and currently claims more than 80 affiliates, including Beasley's seven Country outlets. The Nashville-based Ford takes the reins Feb. 26 with guest artist Lady A. Currently also hosting her Nashville Truth podcast, Ford previously did mornings at WNSH/New York, KYGO/Denver and was part of the Westwood One-syndicated Ty, Kelly & Chuck show.
