Radio Return: Former KYGO/Denver morning host David Mueller has joined Delta's WMYQ/Greenwood, MS as Marketing Consultant and morning co-host under the name "Stonewall Jackson." He shares duties with Specialist/Bus. Development Jonbob Wise as part of the Jackson & Jonbob Show, which launched yesterday (1/29). The daypart had formerly been voice-tracked.

The move marks a return to radio for Mueller, who lost his job at KYGO in 2013 after being accused of touching Taylor Swift inappropriately during a backstage meet-and-greet. He sued Swift for $3 million in 2015 claiming he'd been falsely accused and unfairly terminated, prompting Swift to countersue (CAT 10/29/15). Swift won the legal action in August (CAT 8/15). "Response from most in the industry has been positive," CEO Larry Fuss tells Country Aircheck of the hire. "However, I'm getting a slew of venomous, profanity-laden and juvenile e-mails and phone calls literally from all over the world, apparently started by some Taylor Swift fan group." Reach Mueller here.
