Pair Necessities: Cumulus WDRQ/Detroit interim morning host Renee Vitale and Adams/Salisbury OM & Rhythmic WOCQ PD Aaron “Goose” Seller will partner for mornings on WDRQ as Goose & Renee beginning tomorrow (4/6). They succeed Bill “Broadway” Bertschinger, who resigned in January (CAT 1/12) after moving from mornings to afternoons in November (CAT 11/9/21). “I couldn’t be more excited to introduce our Detroit listeners to Goose & Renee, and vice versa!” says Dir./FM Programming David Corey. “From the moment I met Goose and Renee separately, I knew they would be the right team to help lead New Country 93.1 to even greater heights.” Vitale rejoined the station in November (CAT 11/16/21) and previously served as ’DRQ’s local anchor for the Ty, Kelly & Chuck syndicated morning show from 2015-2018 (CAT 5/8/18). Of her 24 years in radio, 23 have been in the Detroit market, with prior stops at WDVD, WDZH and WNIC. Seller joined Adams last March (CAT 3/2/21) following time with Top 40, AC and Country outlets in South Bend, IN; Denver; Traverse City, MI; Green Bay, WI; Fort Wayne, IN; and Colorado Springs. He began his career in Detroit’s Fisher Building, home of Cumulus/Detroit, in 1999.
