WXBQ's Walker Departs: Bristol WXBQ/Johnson City, TN morning co-host Ben Walker has left the station to be near family in Alabama. Walker joined WXBQ in 2017, and has suffered health issues over the past couple of years (CAT 4/3/23). Walker's previous stops include New Orleans, San Antonio, Houston and Milwaukee. Incumbents Steve Stroud and PD Nikki Thomas remain on the Morning Air Show. No word on plans for the position, but Thomas is recruiting for a full-time night host, and potentially some part-time positions.
