Ryman Hospitality 'Evaluating Opportunities' For OEG Sale
MemLogo_RHP.png Inbound Interest: Following media reports that Ryman Hospitality Properties might be shopping its 70% interest in Opry Entertainment Group, Exec. Chairman Colin Reed issued a statement saying "the company has not entered into any agreements, and there are no assurances that any transaction will occur." At the same time, he noted, "With the rise in global popularity of country music and the increasing demand for live experiences, we have received inbound interest from a range of organizations seeking to partner with our entertainment business. In that context, we have engaged Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC to assist in evaluating potential opportunities. We expect to play an integral role in the continued growth of OEG irrespective of any strategic partnerships being considered.” OEG brands include the Grand Ole Opry; Ryman Auditorium; WSM-AM/Nashville; Ole Red; Category 10; and Austin's Block 21, which includes the W Austin Hotel and the ACL Live at the Moody Theater. Investment company Atairos and NBCUniversal have owned 30% of OEG since 2022 (CAT 6/16/22).
