Greenwood Steps Down At WSIX:
Country Aircheck has learned that Clear Channel's WSIX/Nashville morning personality Billy Greenwood has relinquished his airshift, but will remain a talent on CC's Premium Choice and continue voicetracking middays for KSD/St. Louis and afternoons for WMIL/Milwaukee. An announcement of his additional plans is expected next week. Greenwood had segued from voicetracking middays to WSIX mornings in January 2011, shortly after the departure of Country Radio Hall of Famer Gerry House. The move comes less than a year after CC had extended the contracts of Greenwood and previous morning show partner Karla Lawson through 2013 (CAT 8/30/11); Lawson exited 'SIX in April (CAT 4/19). Concurrently, morning show producer Ashley Weimer has departed; reach her at 615-456-8959 or here. Reach Greenwood here.
