River Runs:
As reported yesterday (9/9) via Twitter and Facebook, Black River Dir./National Promotion Mike Wilson has been named VP/Promotion as part of a departmental restructuring. He's been unofficially leading promo efforts since Bill Macky's hospitalization in March following an assault in Pittsburgh (CAT 3/20). Macky now assumes the newly created role of Sr. Dir./National Promotion & Strategy. "We relentlessly pursue excellence," says CEO Gordon Kerr. "In doing so, we are continually identifying the strengths of our staff and providing them opportunities to grow, both individually and as a company." Wilson joined the company a year ago (CAT 9/9/13) with previous stops at Streamsound and 18 years at RCA. Macky came aboard two years ago (Breaking News 8/30/12) following stops at Stroudavarious, Rodeowave, Epic, Sony and MCA. Reach Wilson here and Macky here.
Hot Air: For those who aren't compulsively checking sports news, Terry and Kim Pegula – owners of Black River and the NHL's Buffalo Sabres – are purchasing the NFL's Buffalo Bills for a reported $1.4 billion.
