Life Note: More than a year after the passing of Academy of Country Music (ACM) SVP/Creative & Content Lisa Lee (Chronicle 8/23/21), industry colleagues Marion Kraft, Sarah Trahern, Jennie Smythe and Teresa George have created a 529 college fund to support Lee’s children in their aspirations to attend college. “As we continue to mourn the loss of Lisa Lee and reflect on all of the contributions she made to our industry, [this] is an opportunity to continue to celebrate her memory with much-needed financial support for her kids,” says ACM CEO Damon Whiteside. Lee’s daughter, Grayson, hopes to attend Nashville's Belmont University in the Fall of 2023. Son Jackson also hopes to attend college after high school. Both had 529 college savings that were depleted during Lee’s battle with cancer. Contributions can be sent by check to Edward Jones (subject line: 529 Contribution Lee Family) c/o Shopkeeper Management, attn: Marion Kraft (918 19th Ave. S., Nashville, TN 37212). Edward Jones will provide a tax receipt. Checks can also be made payable to the Lisa Lee Memorial Fund and mailed to First Arkansas Bank And Trust, attn: Lisa Lee Memorial Fund (P.O. Box 827, Jacksonville, AR 72078) or sent via Zelle to LisaLeeMemorial@gmail.com. For additional information, reach out to Kraft here. Additional details here.
