Moran To I.R.S./Nashville: Veteran promotion executive Tom Moran has been named VP/Promotion for I.R.S./Nashville, where he will be reunited with President John Grady. Most recently with Nine North, Moran's background also includes Show Dog, Epic, Columbia, Warner Bros., Equity and, on the pop side, Arista and Geffen. I.R.S. launched its Nashville operation last year (CAT 10/23/13). Moran and Grady have worked together multiple times over the course of their careers. "I have always felt that he is the best face-to-face promotion man I have ever met," Grady says of Moran. "We will try to make some more musical history together." Adds Moran, "There isn't a better music executive in Nashville than John Grady. Factor in the iconic I.R.S. brand and a solid parent like Capitol/L.A. and I couldn't be more excited."
