Nixon Exits KBEQ
Steel City KBEQ/Kansas City PD/morning host Todd Nixon has exited. "While it's a difficult moment, my overwhelming feeling is gratitude," Nixon shared on social media. Looking ahead, he adds, "In the past few years, I took a leap and started my own radio company, and now I’m excited to focus more energy on growing those stations." Nixon joined KBEQ eight years ago (CAT 1/3/17) following time at iHeartMedia WNCB/Raleigh & WTQR/Greensboro. Prior stops include Fort Myers, Houston and Shreveport, LA. He launched Sticks Media in 2023 (CAT 7/27/23) with the purchase of Classic Country KTNK-AM/Lompoc, CA and is adding Classic Hits WLGR/Glens Falls, NY. No word on plans for the position at KBEQ.
