Benefit NewsEric Church's nonprofit, Chief Cares, is expanding homeownership in its Avery County, NC housing community, Blue Haven. Not only are those whose homes were impacted by 2024's Hurricane Helene eligible (CAT 4/14/24), but now also educators, healthcare workers, first responders and others who serve the area. The first families are slated to move into Blue Haven by Thanksgiving, and Chief Cares is on pace to deliver roughly 200 homes across the region. Watch the story behind Blue Haven here.

Bits & Pieces: Eric Church's Chief Cares broke ground on its first mid-to-long-term housing development, Blue Haven, in Avery County, NC to support families displaced by Hurricane Helene. Families are expected to move in by late summer.

Carrie Underwood presented Make-A-Wish a check for $236,844 at the closing of her Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency. The donation was raised using $1 of every ticket sold, and Underwood was joined by former Make-A-Wish child Noel Miller, who she met through the organization in 2008.

Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley's Groceries with Dignity & Comedy Without featuring comedians Kevin Nealon, Henry Cho and Aaron Webber raised more than $500,000 for The Store

Cumulus KSCS/Dallas morning hosts Mark "Hawkeye" Louis and Michelle Rodriguez talked with Ella Langley to get her thoughts on her image being tattooed on the leg of a British man – the same man who also has a tattoo of Rodriguez on his leg (CAT 2/6/24). Listen here.

Bits & Pieces: The Morgan Wallen Foundation and Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation donated $500,000 worth of instruments to schools in touring cities.

With proceeds from the Oct. 26 Concert For Carolina benefit show (CAT 10/28), Eric Church's Chief Cares nonprofit will build 100 homes for hurricane victims in Avery County, NC and surrounding areas as part of its new "Blueprint For The Blue Ridge" initiative. In a video announcing the plan, Church says future plans include creating jobs, rebuilding schools and supporting local businesses.

Details have emerged about Jelly Roll’s planned Nashville bar – Jelly’s Roll’s Goodnight Nashville (CAT 10/14). Permitting puts the establishment at 209 Broadway, on the site where five-story venue Bottled Blonde is under construction.

iHeartMedia KWBL/Denver midday host Denise Plante has been named a "Colorado Leaders of Impact" nominee by the American Heart Association. She is seeking donations as part of her campaign here.

Concert For Carolina Raises $24.5M

Heads Carolina: Luke Combs and Eric Church's Oct. 26 Concert For Carolina at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte raised more than $24.5 million for Hurricane Helene relief efforts in the state. Performers also included Keith UrbanBailey Zimmerman Scotty McCreeryChase Rice and Parmalee. Proceeds will be split between Church’s Chief Cares Foundation and organizations chosen by Combs, including Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank. Fundraising efforts continue with a silent auction of signed music and sports memorabilia, experiences, concert and game tickets now online here.

Concert For Carolina Lineup

Carolina In My Mind: Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings and James Taylor will headline the Concert for Carolina benefit show Oct. 26 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. All proceeds from the event will be split between organizations chosen by Combs, including Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, and Church’s Chief Cares Foundation to help people affected by Hurricane Helene. No Mountain High Enough: Dolly Parton has donated $1 million to the nonprofit Mountain Ways Foundation, which is assisting with Hurricane Helene relief efforts. Additionally, Parton's hospitality businesses, including Dollywood Parks & Resorts, as well as her Dollywood Foundation, have collectively pledged to match that donation. A designated spot near Dollywood's front gate will also be used as a collection point for those willing to donate clean-up and relief supplies.

The Morgan Wallen Foundation teamed with Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee to launch the "Help" campaign to collect funds and food for hurricane victims in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. The effort includes an online food drive here and a limited edition "Help" t-shirt inspired by Wallen and Post Malone's "I Had Some Help," with proceeds supporting Second Harvest and MANNA FoodBank of Western North Carolina. On. Oct 9, there will also be a food and water drive in Knoxville and a group packing disaster relief boxes in Nashville alongside members of Wallen's band and crew.

Eric Church has released a new song, "Darkest Hour," signing over his publishing royalties to the people of North Carolina to assist with relief efforts via his Chief Cares nonprofit.

Church Plans Nashville Residency

Live Laugh Lucifer: Eric Church will kick off the opening of Chief's in Nashville with a 19-show residency at its two-story music venue, The Neon Steeple, beginning April 5. Tickets to Eric Church: To Beat The Devil are available to Church Choir members via a pre-sale and, if tickets are left, they will go on sale to the public March 22. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales benefit Church’s non-profit, Chief Cares.

Church Clothes: EMI Nashville's Eric Church will open a pop-up store May 26-28 in east Nashville (218 South 11th Street) open 10am-6pm, as he wraps his Holdin' My Own Tour at the Bridgestone Arena Friday and Saturday. The store will open again June 8-11 during CMA Music Festival. Items featured include Church's Gibson Hummingbird Dark Signature autographed guitar, custom Jack Daniel’s barrels, custom Orion coolers, vintage tour t-shirts and posters, and boots from Church's "These Boots" by Lucchese line. A portion of the store proceeds will benefit his non-profit Chief Cares. Baskets Of Adorables: Members of Chicks With Hits present backpacks to Keith Edmonds Foundation namesake (c) to be delivered to children removed from their homes on the basis of abuse or neglect. Church Collection: EMI Nashville's Eric Church and wife Katherine's foundation Chief Cares donated $1 million to the JDRF for type 1 diabetes research Saturday (10/22). The Hope Gala in Charlotte honored Church's parents Ken and Rita Church with the Living and Giving Award. "I can't think of a more fitting occasion to make Chief Cares' largest donation than in honor of my mother and her battle with type 1 diabetes," said Eric.
