Executives, Sweet! As reported earlier here and here, BBRMG EVP Jon Loba has been elevated to President of BMG/Nashville, and VP/Marketing JoJamie Hahr has been promoted to SVP for the label group. In her new role, Hahr will supervise and coordinate all non-finance and legal operations across a roster of more than 20 artists on three imprints. “This appointment essentially formalizes the evolution of [JoJamie’s] role since BMG’s acquisition of the BBR Music Group,” explains Loba, who rose to his new position in February but declined a formal announcement amid the onset of the pandemic. “I will never forget my first conversation with her while she was working ... in Orlando. She was one of the most passionate, creative and focused individuals I had ever met, and those qualities have only grown since.” Adds Hahr, “Thanks to Jon for not only believing in me, but for continuously cheering me on and lifting me up. He is an exemplary leader, and I’m proud to be by his side.”
Loba’s ascension follows BMG’s 2017 acquisition of BBRMG and the Oct. 2019 departure of BMG/Nashville EVP Kos Weaver (CAT 10/30/19). Loba first joined Broken Bow in 2001 before departing to launch Valory in 2007 (CAT 11/2/07). He returned to BBRMG as SVP in 2011 (CAT 1/31/11), and BMG acquired the company in 2017 (CAT 1/30/17) with Loba continuing as EVP following the acquisition. Hahr joined Broken Bow in Sept. 2005 as Dir./Southeast Promotion before making the move to Valory alongside Loba. In 2014, Hahr returned to BBRMG was VP/Promotion for BBR Management (CAT 2/25/14). She was named to her most recent post the following year (CAT 12/14/15). Reach Loba here and Hahr here.
